MASS Ambient is my on-going curatorial project of deep communal listening. Each session explores Pauline Oliveros’s idea of “global attention,” or allowing your entire auditory environment to expand and blend. As a result, we are able to join our interior emotional landscape with the exterior world of sound. Each iteration of MASS Ambient consists of live instrumental ambient sets, an ambient DJ set, performances, and live visuals.
MASS Ambient received the 2024-2025 Community Seed Grant from UT Austin.
